About Kurt Maxxon

Jim Overturf's central character, Lt Colonel Kurt Maxxon, of the USMC retired to the Swift River Valley and opened an Auto Parts Store, creating a successful business. He built a life around his family, and enjoys racing stock cars as a hobby. Kurt is almost 60 when we meet him in Masonville, and has been racing stock cars for 15 years. He shares his passion for racing, his love of his fans and the respect of friends and neighbors in the Kurt Maxxon Mystery Series.
